I worked at Lawrence Berkeley Lab in the 80's. I saw an experiment done on
the effets of electromagnetic fields on biology. The Experiment involved
puting animal(s) tissue in a beam magnet and subjecting the sample to
intense magnetic fields for months and years.
(intense at LBL is a serious statement) These magnets could lift your house
if it was ferrous.
I spoke to one of the scientists and he said they could not get any effect .
Granted I was a casual observer and yes the Magnetic field was a DC field I
am somewhat more confident in the safety of the very low power emitted from
these wireless devices.
I have been in rooms where the magnetic fields were so high that blue flames
came from the corners of electrical boxes due to loose screws and eddy
currents.
And I can still type. :~)

Subject: [BAWUG] 802.11 w/ a baby in 'da house??

Folks,
We've got a baby on the way. Having wireless in our house would really help
out as I'll be able to do my work anywhere (plus one of those 802.11 cameras
would be great).
Question = Is there any concern having an Access Point in the house so close
to a very young child? Does anyone worry about all of the wireless
signals affecting a newborn?
Sorry if these are 'dumb' questions, but I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Thanks for any feedback.
