This whole thing is absurd actually.

First I'd like to point out that most new baby monitors operate in the same
frequencies as 802.11b but unlike the spread spectrum signal that these
products radiate the baby monitor will transmit a constant signal. (the
duty cycle of SS devices is actually quite low... including cell phones)

Secondly the "received" signal at 3" (typical distance of a cell phone) vs.
the typical distance of a wireless card in a a laptop sitting on your lap is
(probably about 2' from your head) are not the same. RF radiation is not
constant. A 100mw source at 1 meter will be measured much higher than at 2
meters.

You probably way more radiation running through you at any given time from
your electric razor or microwave oven or even from the back ground radiation
that's still present from the creation of the universe.

The people at the world health organization should be worrying about the over
population of the planet and how they are going to feed 10 billion people
with a steady loss in farmable land and lack of fresh drinking water rather
than if they're getting "cooked" from RF radiation.

If I were you personally I would be more concerned with what I'm putting in
my baby's body from the food he's/she's eating and weather or not I'm
raising him in environmentally responsible ways so he/she doesn't grow up in a
polluted toxic waist land.

This is just my 2 cents and for every 100 scientist that find no harmful
effects from such exposure you will find 10,000 nuts who want to convince
you that it's a government conspiracy and we're all going to die... usually
to make a buck selling there cell phone RF protector shield.
