One for the 15V power supply side and another the 7805 reg. side
Also, what type of CAT5 cabling?
If there's two unused pairs (4 wires) plus the shielding foil (if possible), you can use the 2 pairs for just the positive voltage and the shield as the ground. O, and don't forget to use a nice filter capacitor after the reg and heatsinks for it too (if u have a small fan on it, you don't have to use too big of a heatsink; you should be able to find a surplus/used 5V fan that'll do just fine or find a 15V one or just use 12V instead of 15V if you want to use 12V fans).
There are also some advantages to using 12V instead. In Dec's issue of Nuts&volts there was a schematic on how to build a gel-cell (lead-acid) battery UPS using 12V batterys (they also had a 6V version too).
