you can use the wan port if you
like...
you just need to set up everything as if it were a
cable modem...
DHCP on the wan port, DHCP services running and
configured internally or on the lan and wireless side...
only noticeable difference is that nobody on
the wired network on the other side of the wan port will be able to reach
nodes on the linksys wired/ wireless side of things.
if anyone else has different experience, please
share. I would love to know how to rig this up so it would
work.

I would want everyone to be able to see everyone
else so you could manage the network w/o a golf cart or a go-cart.
I don't think these boxes will support this, but
I'd love some feedback on the feasibility.
