As a WISP we don't really have the ability to provide food or water.
What we can provide is communications. I keep hearing people can't get
in touch with their friends and family. Is there no need for
communications support? If not, great, but if there is a need I for one
would like to help.

Matt - I am willing to help - but I do not feel that they need what you
are wanting to bring to them. They are in need of water / food / $$ -
everyone is being forced to leave these areas FYI - in another week or
so - it will be nothing but ghost towns for months until plans are in
place to start the clean-up / rebuilding.

That sounds like something that could work. How can we get started?

We lost our entire network on Dauphin Island www.lawisp.com but I
have
a Orthogon link from Mobile 22 miles south to the coast at the WLO
antenna farm outside of Alabama Port / Coden in Alabama ..... The
Mobile Side could be turned to another direction if needed - it'll do
almost 30-40 miles to Pascagoula or Gulf Port - Let me know - I've got
bandwidth and tower resources in downtown Mobile Alabama.

WISPA members, vendors and friends-
SlingShot Wireless Communications will be mobilizing a crew to the
Gulf
Port Area to assist in establishing critical PtP & PtMP wireless
communications for the rescue and reconstruction personnel.
We have a wide range of equipment in stock which we will be deploying
for those departments, systems, and cities in the most distress areas.
If you can help us in our effort or if you are in these impacted
areas,
please send response to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or call
866-33-3127.
Would there be any Manufacturers, Distributors, or Integrators
following this list that can support us in our assistance and donate
some gear or manpower (certified climbers)?
Thank you,
Jeff
