Tom,
You forget that even in 30 mile cells I have 1% of the population that
you have in 1 mile cells. ;)

The ROI you must have with 30 mile

All I can say, is I'm jealous.
Unfortuneately not a model that
works in MD / DC, even with Mountain top cell sites.
Short range cells are required to
survive the noise floor :-(

Re: [WISPA] High Gain 2.4ghz Grid
That's not true... we have many NLOS connections (curently over 600
running), that's what we use 900mhz for. ;)

Travis - completely different terrain. I am FLAT

Some are on mountaintops, some are on 100ft towers. It may be the
equipment I am using as well... if you have a 19dbi antenna now, and
change to 24dbi, then you should have a -77 signal, which is PLENTY for
Trango 2.4ghz (-90 receive level for 1600byte packets and full 5Mbps
speed). ;)

You always amaze me Travis. Are you using
Mountain Tops ?

We are doing 30+ mile shots with 24db grids into 9db omni's.

Looking for something with
higher gain then 24dBi for a 12mile shot that we have to do with
2.4ghz. It's Near LOS and we're seeing -82 but the tree tops are
killing us on packet loss.
We currently have a 19dBi
tranzeo CPE200 connecting to a 9dBi Omni. I don't want to amp this shot
so that is out of the question.
