Mark - I have deployed and installed systems and I am partial to the MotoWi4 platfrom for service providers and network operators: http://www.motorola.com/content.jsp?globalObjectId=5918-8767
which includes Motorola Canopy + HotZone Duo and or Mesh at the end points for WiFi Hotspot access. Of course there are other manufacturers that provide similar flavors. For example one of my buddies loves Apertos, another likes Tropos and another is Trapeze. It really depends on what you are trying to achieve and solve. I usually go with Certified equipment all the time and then try to standardize on a few key elements. Also consider your element management system, your backend and how you plan to VLAN and source your subscribers. Do you have a Cisco backend?
