Glad we can be friends again! There is a 'server' edition for Ubuntu: http://www.ubuntu.com/products/WhatIsUbuntu/serveredition. I just noticed a version optimized for VMWare ( http://www.ubuntu.com/products/whatisubuntu/serveredition/jeos), which is great for me as I run XP for Quickbooks and Manifold and Adobe CS3 but keep Ubuntu running in the background as a development server.
