I was talking to one of the tv stations engineers out here on the coast. He has a translator here.
I asked him how soon would we be seeing the DTV conversion. His answer is, not any time soon and we must have mis understood the situation. Translators are EXEMPT from having to go digital, and to boot, he said, out of 8,000 broadcasters nation wide, only 25% or so HAVE to convert, all the others, on translators, don't have to.
