WISPA's Officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer)
are selected each year by the WISPA Board from currently serving Board
members. WISPA has been without a Vice President for the last few months.

At the December 11th Board meeting, the Board acted to elect a new
Vice-President. Three Directors (Tom DeReggi, Mac Dearman and Butch
Evans) were nominated and all agreed to serve if elected. Each received
three votes during the first round of balloting. After the three-way
tie, all three were asked to submit a statement to the Board describing
why they wished to serve as Vice-President. Prior to the second round of
voting Mac Dearman chose to endorse one of the other two candidates,
effectively making the election a two-person race.

A second round of online voting was held on December 22nd and 23rd.
Butch Evans received 4 votes and Tom DeReggi received 5 votes. Please
congratulate Tom on his new position as WISPA Vice-President and wish
him well as he steps up to the plate to help lighten the workload of
WISPA President Rick Harnish and the other WISPA Directors.

Congratulations to all and thank you to all three of these gentlemen for
the volunteer work that they do for WISPA members.
