RB1000 is $700 - I have always viewed Routerboards as expendable. $700 seems too much for an expendable motherboard. You can buy a really nice Intel Core Duo with loads more horsepower for the same price from Butch/PoweRouter.
Don't get me wrong - Routerboards are great, but for something at the tower sites I want it to be worthwhile and I think Gino's suggestion (or something comparable) is the best idea.
