It has been heading that way for a while. When they sold the wiress to alltel there were a lot of cuts which didn't go over well. Then the embarq merger has some wondering what their job responsibilities are and if they will have a job. I was at the corporate office a few weeks ago and the mood was very negative.
I have been getting quite a few of their phone customers that are unhappy. Not to mention centurytel is a nightmare to port from. AT&T takes 10 days. Centurytel can take up to 120 days.
