I have tools from Tessco.  I love the EZ connectors.  Good positive snap 
when seated properly.
I use a hacksaw to cut the cable.  No smashing and with a little care a 
right angle cut is not hard.
The saw does require some deburring.  I use the tool, but a file will work.
The one think you don't have listed is a pair of scissors.  Makes 
trimming the braid much easier.

You need an ST-600EZ for the LMR600.  The tooling for 400 and 600 are 
different.
