Hi Lori,

We do 100 to 200 new subs per year. Closer to 100 now, the new installs are
slowing down.

We have a very small number of components that we normally use so inventory
tracking is mostly as simple as looking at the shelves.

When we get to a certain level (about 2 weeks work) we order more product.
It's all handled by the tech (me) and an office manager.

I used to manage a large warehouse. We used all kinds of fancy software
there.

However, here in this business I've found that my work is far too bursty for
that. Keeping minimal amounts on the shelf (to conserve cash) but never
running out requires close coordination between the installer and the
scheduler.

Hope that's helpful.
marlon
