I don't know how many of you were in this business when 9/11 came about. A while after that the internet backbone came to a crawl. I called a friend of mine that worked for the same people I used to and he told me about all the monitoring points the gov just installed at the peer points. It took them about a month to fix the performance hit they caused (not too sneaky). Ya gotta love the NSA... biggest spook agency in the nation, but most americans don't know they exist. NRO only beats them by $$.
