I get beam clamps and other required hardware from a local electrical 
supplier.
I would put a beam clamp on the bottom of one of the beams going left to 
right.  Bolted to that would be a Minerallac clamp for the size pipe you 
are using.  We would use 1-1/2" EMT.  Another beam clamp and pipe clamp 
at the top of the beam that runs up and down in the picture.  We do 10' 
pipe as long as we can get more than 2' separation of the clamps.  
Shorter pipe if clamps closer together. Also depends on what is going on 
it, but that is a general rule.
