Bev,

Somewhere along the line the AP has had its IP address changed. What is the
IP address of your Network? A quick way to determine the AP's address is to
look at the Default Gateway address in the IP address setup of one of your
computers. More than likely, that is the address of your AP if you get your
IP addresses via DHCP on the AP.

the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be
replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

Subject: [wirelesslan] Linksysys WAP54G AP Configuration

Hello All from a sunny (a rare event this Summer!) Southern England.

I have a wireless network running OK, based on a Linksysys WAP54G AP
and a Linksys WUSB54G on a desktop PC and a 3COM 11Mbps 3CRWE62092B
PCMCIA Card in a laptop PC.

I wanted to do some more configuration on the WAP (i.e. disable SSID
broadcast), but I cannot access it using IE6 and entering
192.168.1.245 as described in the handbook.

IE 6 appears to be looking on the web for this IP address, yet
obviously it is a local (via the Ethernet wired network) source, so
it does not find the WAP54G AP.

Does anyone have suggestions to help me access it?

Thanks in advance,

Bev
