I would like to emphasize here that irreglarities in signal could be caused not just by the AP/router radio but also from the client radio. Remember, this is two-way communication. For instance I recently bought a run-of-the-mill DI-514 D-Link 802.11b router. When connecting to it from my laptop, I noticed that the signal would disconnect often, especially when I clicked on a link on a web page (downstream data). I went into the mini-PCI properties for my centrino radio and adjusted the output power to make it 'Maximum' and have not had a problem since. Just my two cents on the irregular signal complaint. CK

I then got a second replacement that I insisted be a new one and was assured that it would be. It wasn't. I bought the netgear and sold the SMC as a refurb on ebay. The other is a newer, non-printserver version at the office. We are having difficultly with irregular signal that does not seem to be related to interference. I have had zero problems with Netgear (with print server) for a year now. .....Peter > -----Original Message----- > From: Clinton M.
