Most Netscape "problems" I have seen are the result of bad coding, such as leaving out table tags. Shouldn't we code correctly? I first test in Netscape. If it works there it almost always works in IE. The vast majority of sites don't have any functions that can't work in both browsers, it just requires proper and correct programming.
BTW, there are government offices where Netscape is still the standard. It is not just a few leftover users. >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 06/14/02 10:36AM >>> I agree with both sides of this argument. I would, being a Macintosh user and a Libran... But is it the developer's job to decide what platforms a solution is built for? That should be dictated by the client, based on cost and audience And I think it's at that point that developers should then lobby to build in support for all platforms and for all users. A 93% share is a difficult number in every way - it might tempt some clients to ignore the 7%, but then we're all going to end up at the mercy of Microsoft. Not somewhere I want to be! Interesting that the non-Microsoft browser share is bigger than the Apple share of the PC market.
