Wayne,
Witango 6 will only focus on ODBC and JDBC connectivity. All native connectivity is deprecated, although what was in the v5.5 server should still work, but it’s not officially supported. I can’t say if I’ll change this position in the future, however, I can say that with the OSX Studio the decision was made to focus on JDBC only. This actually makes some sense because it’s a JAVA application. Perhaps Java 7 will provide more tools on OSX, or perhaps FileMaker will expand xDBC to their other licenses. I foresee an opportunity for deploying Mac mini Servers with Witango and FileMaker for several of my clients. But the price difference between the single user and server versions of FileMaker (a factor of 10) might be a bit prohibitive. Have you investigated FMP (single user) as a datasource?
