Oh, I certainly understand that WiX wraps MSI, but I've simply never worked with MSI directly, which is what the resources related to. I just didn't understand how the information could be used in WiX. Anyway, since Gareth's replied that there is in WiX does in fact provide DXMajor/MinorVersion properties, that should be all I need.
