Dear guys,
I am doing a minor upgrade with "REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vomus" which
succeeded and the installer title is updated in Add/Remove Programs but I found
that the dlls in the installed directory is still dated 31 Oct and their file
sizes are still the same, whereas my new dlls are dated 3rd Nov and bigger in
file size. The dlls' GUIDs are the same in the old installer and the upgrade
installer. The OS used is Windows XP SP3.
When I tried the major upgrade with either "REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vomus"
or "REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=omus", the installation "succeeded" but nothing
gets upgraded: the installer title is not updated in Add/Remove Programs. If I
do a normal installation with no command line argument with "REINSTALL" and
"REINSTALLMODE" specified, I get another installer in the Add/Remove Programs,
together with the old one.
Can anyone tell me what I have been doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Bob Lim
