Hi all, I have an application that will be distributed on CD, primarily, to extremely non-technical users who very rarely have internet connections. Some of them are, and I'm not making this up, located in Outer Mongolia. Others are our salespeople who, at tradeshows, will not have access to internet connections to get whatever they need from the internet. So, I have to include the complete .NET 3.5 sp1 installer alongside our installer, and have our installer automatically attempt to install .NET if it doesn't detect it on the user's machine.
I could probably get away with not using the 240 mb installer for the time being (we don't deploy to 64 bit machines, yet), but since I'm told that space is no object, I don't really see the point in not going for the whole thing. I've tried using the tutoral found here: http://wix.sourceforge.net/manual-wix3/install_dotnet.htm but it only includes the network-based installer, not the complete installer. I already have the setup package downloaded and ready to go.
