This is one of the areas where there must have been a breaking change between v2 and v3 because the samples were originally written in v2 times (actually working back them, as much as I can tell), upgraded to v3 later. Small errors, typos and similar still come to surface today, remnants of the old code. I've just corrected a couple of those according to suggestions arriving from readers (I put them aside earlier for a couple of weeks due to other engagements and lack of time). I can't seem to find the conclusion of that thread now, so if you have a suggestion to the correct wording, or maybe even a sample that does work with v3, I'll correct it, of course.
