You might find this useful: http://wixextba.codeplex.com/. Take a look at the example Bundle7.wxs it is a pretty basic UI and the dialog is designed to be the same size as the WiX MSI UI.
You might also want to consider writing your UI in burn rather than using the MSI UI.
