Thanks for this, was what I needed. Had found older sample from version prior to moving this CA into the utils extension. As your sample indicates, the CustomAction to set the property before the actual execute call seemed to be neccessary, unlesss I just didn't get the syntax correct. also to note: the quotes """ around the executable name and the argument are required.
