but it shouldn't be! by all means, do start working on it. i actually 
find the idea od wprefs saving complete configuration good. i do agree 
that the current way of doing things is holding back natural 
evolution.

granted, at the current release pace, even a two-release cycle amounts 
to some 15 years, so it might be a while, but there's at least ample 
time :)
