Not that I wish to start "October in March" here, but Mr. Barkes, you are way out of line.? Unless you have intimate knowledge of the relationships between this family and their pet, you have no right to judge how they allowed their pet to leave and what each family member needed to do at any time.?
The loss of a family member (furred or not) is never easy and this is not a time to point accusing fingers and send personal attacks.? You owe Tom an apology, IMHO.
