Attendees: Lawrence Mandel, Jeremy Hughes, Graham Turrell, John Kaputin, Arthur Ryman
Minutes 1. Open Action Items - Lawrence Mandel 2006-10-07 - John will update the task list with up-to-date task information and links to Jiras. 2006-11-21 John: I did some of the work today. I'll try to get this done by our next call. 2. Interop Event Summary - John Kaputin, Arthur Ryman See Jonathan Marsh's summary Lawrence forwarded to woden-dev. Arthur provided a summary of the event. We discussed the current status of the report and took a look at the documents for which Woden is currently failing. [action] Arthur will open Jiras for the interchange failures. [action] Lawrence will open Jiras for the validation failures. 3. Milestone (M7) Status - John Kaputin John: We need to decide what content we need in M7. Lawrence: Is there an immediate need for an M7? John: I think the need is for people we don't know about as Axis2 is working off snapshots and their next release isn't for a little while. I think we should do M7 ASAP after we decide the Jiras that should be included. [action] Everyone should verify and close any Jiras they've opened that have been resolved but not closed. We proceeded through the open Jiras and assigned those required for M7 to the M7 version. The conversation will be picked up on next week's call at Woden-39. 4.Development Discussion - All Graham: The issue came up with the IRI in WS-commons. I think we need to consider the benefits before using this as if Java 7 includes IRI we may need to deprecate a lot of our API. Lawrence: Does switching to IRIs buy us much? Graham: I don't think so. Just a specific case in HTTP bindings. Also, this IRI implementation is currently part of a podling and will need to be factored out and contributed to a commons project before we can make use of it. 5. Other Business - All No other business was raised. Thanks, Lawrence Mandel
