Jeff Hilgert, a poet and labor activist from the U.S., has been
invited to speak at the "Northern Voices" Conference in Manchester,
England.  Jeff will speak on "Workers' Rights as Human Rights."  He
will provide examples of direct labor action in the U.S. in recent
years.  ("Northern Voices" is a conference of activists in the north
of England.)

Jeff will speak on Saturday, March 24th, 2007 at the Hare & Hounds
Public House in Shudehill, Manchester, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Jeff
welcomes the participation and/or feedback of other labor activists
for this event.

The Hare & Hounds pub is located across the road from the Shudehill
bus station in central Manchester, near the Shudehill tram stop.  From
Piccadilly railway station you can take the tram with the final
destination of the "Bury" direction (about 3 stops) and get off at
Shudehill.
