Have you tried moving the current contents of the folder to an empty folder prior to transferring them to the ftp server? That way you can safely delete the files after the transfer without touching anything that was newly moved into the original folder.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] deleting local files
I am setting up a schedule which will upload files to a remote ftp server.
The problem I have is that I can't safely delete the local files once they
have been uploaded. I have used "shell Delete *.*" but the monitored folder
is constantly recieving new files and this would cause them to be deleted
before they have been transferred. How do I do it?
Thanks in advance.
