This maybe OT, but should be useful to all web developers on the list, because a site ight well be standards compliant but if it takes 30 seconds to load than its still failing ...
I wouldn't say it was offtopic. Something like this could be used to demonstrate the advantages of using CSS vs table layout. After doing a redesign the new version can be tested head to head with the old. Doing so might even reassure those designers on the fence that there is a reason beyond buzzword compliance to the whole CSS thing.
