I couldn't agree more.
M$ OS allows you to run almost anything on it's platform. The problem is
NOBODY has another platform even close to M$. M$ is not a monopoly. It
just has no real competition. I always wonder why that is. Other than
most of the platforms aren't ready for Joe Schmoe user.
I am not a M$ fan. But the reality is, M$ wrote, built and markets it's
products. It makes money, but also spends $$$$$ on R&D, marketing and
lawyers. It's their right to bundle their products to help support their
company.
I wish all the companies would take a hint from FF. Build a better
product, market it and take your market share.
I want another OS that works like Windoze but is better than Windoze. I
wish Mozilla would develop one. Their products are already consumer
friendly etc. Imagine a FFOS. I would imagine M$ poor customer support
and glitchy software would warp forward. I'd imagine it would become
superior. Because that's what a serious competitive market does to
companies that want to compete and win.
IE isn't an issue, bundled or not. If you don't like IE, there are
better choices that will readily run on Windoze.
If people aren't choosing your software over IE, spend more money on
Marketing and Consumer Focus groups!
Cheers!
