Here are some stats I collected from a collection of large, high-traffic Australian sports/news websites I am involved with:
IE8: 45% IE7: 30% IE6: 10% Firefox 3.x: 9% Everything else: 6% This is off the top of my head, but IE6 definitely accounts for 10-11% (and is higher than FF3).
