Program version: WSJT-X v.1.7.1-devel r7895

Hi Remo,

those of you building WSJT-X from sources should be aware that the development branch ^/branches/wsjtx currently identifying itself as v1.7.1-devel is highly unstable at present and probably not suitable for use on air even on receive unless you turn off all automated spotting to pskreporter, and hamspots if you also use JTAlert. If you must build the development branch then please monitor the Source Forge change comments closely and any posts here about suitability for use. As always, we do our work with everything exposed which helps the developers greatly when collaborating on enhancements. This allows you to see what is happening but it is a two way street, we expect respect for our warnings of usability and some effort by all to understand what is happening amongst the development team.

The v1.8 branch ^/branches/wsjtx-1.8 which currently identifies as v1.8.0-rc2 is where your focus should be as this is where fixes for issues in the RC1 release candidate will be placed ready for the next release candidate and eventually the general availability release (GA).
