Thanks for the helpful advice on resetting the working frequencies.

That fixed the CAT problem.

What remains is the audio problem.

When running RC1, audio works fine.  When running either other version (without 
making any change to the audio preferences and regardless of band) there is NO 
AUDIO.  The indicator on the left bottom of the interface shows 0 dB.  

So, my question is:  if the audio preferences are correct in v1.8.0-rc1, why 
would they not also be correct in either of the succeeding versions?

• Tried increasing the audio output of the rig w/o effect.

• Tried changing bands w/o effect.

• Tried switching from mono to left and right w/o effect.

• Checked audio settings in WSJT-X and they are identical.

• Tried closing WSJT-X and restarting w/o effect.
