Have you looked a the jt9 process though?Doug and I both see it growing pretty 
rapidly.  About every 4 minutes.  I'll have to check with him about what 
version of Ubuntu he has.But what gcc version do you have?  Ubuntu 17.10 has 
gcc 7.2

Looks like this kind of growth on the jt9 executable on the VSZ

FWIW — I run the latest development version(s) under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I 
haven’t been able to find evidence of a memory leak. I routinely run for many 
days in a stretch monitoring FT8 on crowded bands, with no trouble and no 
significant change in the memory footprint of WSJT-X.
