Hi Bill,

the SSL issue ….

I installed MS library 2013 32 bit (inly 64bit was installed) and nothing
changed.
Then I checked the OpenSSL page again and I saw that there are different
versions for download.
I had downloaded Version 1.1.1a Light and not 1.0.2 light.
I deinstalled 1.1.1 and installed 1.0.2 light and then it worked perfectly.
Version 1.1.1 does not work with WSJTX.
These different numbers are really confusing me…. 😊

Thanks for your help.

Hi

I'm using 2.0 GA (on Win10 1803 64bit) now the third day and it works great,
except of two problems which don't want to go away.

The first is, the SSL/LOTW error message won't disappear, also not after
installing the SSL Tool which is mentioned in the manual. It still appears on
every start.
Please refer to the Windows installation instructions in the User
Guide<https://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/k1jt/wsjtx-doc/wsjtx-main-2.0.0_de.pdf>
particularly the part about what to do if installing the OpenSSL libraries
does not fix the issue.

The second is, when I start WSJTX, the waterfall is always empty. No signal can
be seen there and nothing is decoding. The signals are shown only when I select
first a frequency in the dropdown menu or go to settings menu and back to
WSJTX. Then the signals are showing and decoding. This wasn't happening in any
beta RC version.
Do you have the option "Settings->General->Monitor off at startup" checked?
That would stop receiving until you clicked "Monitor" or selected a working
frequency. It is intended to allow you to start WSJT-X without disturbing the
rig.
