I can build from source most of the time.  Missing libraries and dependencies 
sometimes cause issues.  I'm on Lubuntu, so here's the system info for the 
system I use most of the time.  I have two 32 bit systems and two 64 bit 
systems that I can tinker with if need be.

ok, then it needs addressing. Are you able to build from sources? If not
then which o/s and version are you using?
