The advice that you have issued is against what any academic or trade educator 
would EVER recommend as sound practise to our trainees / clients / researchers 
etc. 

One always starts with a clean slate and then introduces changes - especially 
when testing and evaluating. That is "Scientific Method".

Yes in the case of WSJTX your advice is noted; advisories in release notes as 
to whether configuration files may need to be altered may be appreciated in the 
future by many :-)

As I said in my post "It’s a reminder .... " .  Let's leave the discussion at 
this on that subject as no good for The HAM community can come from it !
