I’m testing out Big Sur on V2.3.0 rc2 with my hardware on a MacBook before I upgrade my main computer (an iMac).

The hardware (Arduino CI-V router and Timewave Navigator) works fine, but I’m getting blocked on the Multicast settings that work on Catalina. I’m getting a message: Network Error: Unable to send a datagram UDP server 224.0.0.1:2237.

I’ve also attached my reporting prefs which look the same as what works on Catalina. Is there some workaround in Big Sur to get this to work?

Hi David,

I am not sure why that is not working, are you using any third party firewall product on that machine? To get as close as possible to the settings for multicast UDP prior to v2.3.0 RC2 you can select your main network interface instead of the loopback interface (lo0) for "Preferences->Reporting->Outgoing interfaces", but note that will only work if the cooperating applications have joined the multicast group on that network interface (if it worked on Catalina and you have not updated those applications then it may be the correct setting).
