I’m testing now with 2.4.0 on MacOSX 11.1.
John G4KLA suggested using the NSAppSleepDisabled key globally which
got me to thinking I could use it locally, so I added:
<key>NSAppSleepDisabled</key>
<true/>
to the app’s Info.plist file and I’m hoping this does the trick as it
requires no code changes and would be easy to integrate.
(NOTE: if you try this yourself, make sure to uncheck and recheck the
Microphone setting in Privacy control panel after running the changed
app or you won’t get any audio depending on your setup.)
Adding this key to the app’s Info.plist should disable App Napping
when the app is in the background.
Because this is intermittent, I will have to follow up later to let
folks know if this fixes the issue or not. So far so good.
Now if this does fix the problem, how do I go about getting this
included in the next build if the developers deem it worthy?

Hi Alex,
keep us updated on whether this works for you, I will update the WSJT-X
plist template if it does.
