This is interesting. It seems that my ISP is dropping some mails (not even in trash folder) and I have missed the beginning of this chain.

But to the subject:

Timer is good, but I have suggested (without any comment) few times to randomize hound transmit frequency. That would keep "big guns" in move and maybe give change for smaller stations to get free slot for every now and then.

The code is there already. I have done "rndHound" for myself with just few additional lines. Works fine and randomizes my transmit frequency for every period. With checkbox user could select to sit on same frequency all the time, or randomize it for every calling period. When QSO is established it works like before selecting the slot where Fox replies below 1000Hz. Randomize does not have effect for ongoing QSO.
