I have been running various versions of WSJ-X with Omni-Rig for many years. After having my station shut down for about a week I can no longer run WSJT-X with Omni-Rig. Error "Failed to start OmniRig COM server".
If I run Omni-Rig client it connects to my TS-590S with no issue. If I close Omni-Rig client and open HDSDR or CW Skimmer both connect to Omni-Rig and establish 2 way communication with my TS-590S. It's clear that Omni-Rig and the client are working but it appears that WSJT-X either cannot find Omni-Rig client or is unable to start it. Where does WSJT-X expect to find Omni-Rig client and where is the path specified? I have found several discussions of this problem but have not found a solution. WSJT-X installation was not intentionally changed and I see the same problem with ver 2.3.0, ver 2.5.4, and 2.6.0 rc4. All these versions used to connect to Omni-Rig until this new problem started. I changed WSJT-X to start with admin privilege and have the same error. I also see the same with Omni-Rig 1.19 and 1.20. Omni-Rig client seems to have been unchanged since 2004.
