Having hamlib change AGC settings is not a wise idea. I have a Flex 6500 and I
do not want hamlib change my receiver settings whenever I open WSJTX. Hamlib is
for frequency control and should not be monkeying with receiver settings. The
user needs to educate themselves on how to set up their receiver for best
reception.Jay KA9CFDSent from my U.S.Cellular© Smartphone

#FH The AGC problems I noted would likely only be a problem for a low level
signal where the amplitude change could drop the signal too low.We need to do
some testing but I'm considering changing Hamlib to put all rigs on FAST AGC
(if AGC is not OFF) for WSJT-X operation.  So a setting of medium or slow would
get changed to fast.Mike W9MDBOn Friday, September 27, 2024 at 04:21:24 PM CDT,

on my Kenwood TS-890S and my Icom 7300.I had no problem with SF on the previous
expeditions with AGC fast, slow, or medium with my 890.  I run 1, 16, and 20
for the 3 speeds of AGC.  They all work in almost all cases (for me).  RF gain
is almost always full tilt.  Signals were from +18 to -15/-16.73, Gary -
