The best place to find the answer to these questions is to look in the
htdig and udmsearch documentation.  I don't remember having seen the
option in either of them.

Also you should have a look at the Namazu search engine since it is
likely that this will be added as a third option in a future version
of WWWOFFLE.

The complexity of a good search engine is probably the same as the
complexity of WWWOFFLE itself.

It would be more useful to add this feature to one of the existing
search engines rather than writing a custom one for WWWOFFLE.
