This is just to flag the latest development in my unfavoured attempt
to access web pages without being bombarded by advertisements.
In the past few months I have managed to keep in touch with events in
Europe by reading (among others) the Sueddeutsche Zeitung (downloaded
with WWWOFFLE and read offline).
Yesterday my daily download of the web page started as follows:
Lieber Benutzer,
For non-German readers, it says:
Dear user
You have switched off JavaScript on your browser or your browser is
unable to display pages that contain JavaScript. In order to view
sueddeutsche.de JavaScript has to be turned on....
As a first step, I have removed sueddeutsche.de from my WWWOFFLE
monitor list. But I am wondering what are the chances of having the
`DontGet' part of the wwwoffle.conf as an option that can be toggled on
and off while online. Here writes an incurable optimist.
