I've also remarked that change.
You can still access the current edition of the newspaper
w/o Javascript under the address http://www.sueddeutsche.de/aktuell/

I can't see exactly what your problem is. AFAIK you can set the
DontGet option seperately for a given URL with wwwoffle 2.6.
You can also tell the monitor not to fetch Javascript.
What *I* really like to have is a tool which allows me
to access those pages (may be in a somewhat reduced way)
without Java* activated in the browser(s).
