My attempts to use htdig by pointing it to: http://localhost:8080/
or pointing it to: http://localhost:8080/index/ or to: http://localhost:8080/index/http/?sort=alpha all failed to create a datasbase which could then be searched. In addition, running "htdig -s" gave the following information: htdig: Run complete htdig: 1 server seen: htdig: localhost:8080 3 documents htdig: Errors to take note of: Not found: http://localhost:8080/index/http Ref: http:// Not found: http://localhost:8080/index/http/ Ref: http:// Not found: http://localhost:8080/index/http/?sort=alpha Ref: http:// HTTP statistics =============== Persistent connections : Yes HEAD call before GET : No Connections opened : 4 Connections closed : 4 Changes of server : 0 HTTP Requests : 4 HTTP KBytes requested : 0.695312 HTTP Average request time : 0 secs HTTP Average speed : inf KBytes/secs Since I have only a hazy understanding of what I am doing, all <suggestions|advice> (including suggested URLs on using htdig) will be gratefully received. For the record, the RH7.1 package of htdig supplies very sparse documentation on how to use htdig. I have downloaded the latest htdig package (3.1.6) as source code, but am reluctant to proceed until I at least know where to look for the information that I clearly lack.
