Inspired by other references in postings to this newsgroup, I downloaded
and looked at the latest version of ziproxy - and ended up thoroughly
confused.

However, the "README.compress" file in WWWOFFLE-2.8 answered most of the
queries that were left unanswered by the ziproxy documentation.  Two
queries remain:

1) image files are not compressed by WWWOFFLE because - according to the
   documentation - they are already compressed.  Is this standard
   procedure; and

2) is there any benefit from running WWWOFFLE and ziproxy in tandem; and
   if so, how?
